If i let my hair grow out will it go super straight?

i dont have that naturally smooth silky straigh hair, i have straight hair but wavy..ya know? [but nop worries, thats what straightners are for =] well, i was so excited to get my hair cut, i planned exactly what i wanted for monthes. well, i didnt get what i wanted at all =[ so im super depressed. like, for my layers, she kinda cut my hair shoulder length all the way aroung [not what i wanted] and just left the back part underneath long so the back long part curls in and hte 'layers' curve out vecasue they are so short. also, she cut the front part really short to my chin so they curve in too. and the bangs are soooo bagy [ i wanted side stripe bangs like] but n e way, so if i let my hair grow untill christmas [about 2 inches] will it start to go straighter and mend together so when i straighten it it will go vrooooooom straight down and not curl ? because even when i straighten it, because its at my shoulders [curse the lady...i wanted longer hair] the bottom part always curves out?

Hi - The longer your hair gets, the heavier it gets. This means that the hair near the roots will be straight, but the hair on the ends won't really change. (And cutting your hair doesn't make it grow faster. The hair inside your scalp, where it grows from, doesn't know what's going on at the ends..) Your hair has loose waves so that it will always wave near the ends where there's not enough weight to pull it straight. You could try a flat iron, but be careful not to over do it . You can cause some real damage with an improperly used flat iron.

If you let your hair grow and have just the ends trimmed at the bottom about every 6 weeks, the layers will all catch up to the bottom eventually. You may like it somewhere between now and when it's all grown out. That would be because the longer layers may be more like what you want. If that happens, that 's the time to tell the hairdresser that that's how you like it and that you'd like to keep that style for awhile.

As for the bangs, a little product like a light gel may help to get the look you want.

Sometimes it's a good idea if you see someone whose hair you like, to ask where she has it done and who does it.

That's like my hair then.

Stupid hairdressers.

Looks like extensions for me...

I should think it'll work if you let your hair go longer.

I know girls with boof hair and they manage it, so why can't you?

It wouldn't be super straight. From your scalp, your hair starts growing straight (if it is naturally straight). But the part where it's curved, would remain the same. That's why you should trim your hair at least once a month. If you trim your hair once a month, your hair will grow longer quicker. I trim my hair once a month and now it's about 5 inches from my waist. I started trimming since late April.

unless your hair is super straight, it will not grow out super straight. there are straightening methods that will do this. it is the reverse of a perm. (smells the same and costs around $500-600 and lasts about 6 mos) check it with your stylist
