I'd have to disagree with the previous comments, as the majority of people's hair grows 1/2 inch every month, or 6 inches per year.

For fastest growth possible, these are some steps: always let hair air dry, brush daily (do not brush at all if hair is curly or wavy), when hair is wet only use a wide tooth comb, do not shampoo and condition hair daily, message your scalp daily by using fingers only and not nails, deep condition once a week with hot oil such as coconut (extra virgin) while you massage it and leave this overnight...

that's about it...and don't listen to people saying trim the ends to stimulate growth, that's bs, hair grows just as fast without trims, only trim if you notice split-ends...
