How do I grow my Hair?

I want to grow my hair to about waist length, but everytime i try i always end up having it cut because it gets dry at the ends. I barely ever straighten my hair and when i do i always use a heat defence spray. How can i get my waist length hair without it being dry? any suggestions? or products?

Honestly, not everyone's hair is meant to be that long. You can try taking multivitamins and vitamin E but that will only do so much.

Besides, waist length hair is nice, if your hair is that sort of a texture. I've seen women with thick beautiful hair that looks fantastic waist length but I've also seen women with thinner hair that doesn't look so good waist length.

At any rate, try a good deep conditioning treatment weekly, use a leave in conditioner daily, and trim every 8 weeks or so. Good luck!

To maximize growth, I would:

- Eat a protein rich diet and lots of fruits and veggies

- Try to drink at least 64 oz of water a day

- Exercise at least 3-5 times a week

- Massage the scalp at night with a drop or two of essential oils to help stimulate the hair follicles

- Sleep 7-8 hours each night

- Take a Hair, Skin and Nails vitamin to help grow stronger hair.

To retain length, I would:

- Wash and deep condition at least once a week

- Dry the hair using a low to no heat styling method

- Limit the usage of direct heat on the hair

- Moisturize nightly

- Keep the hair and ends protected during the day with loose protective styles like buns, twists, French rolls and twists

Honestly, I don't know how it works, but if you get your hair trimmed on a semi-regular basis that helps with hair growth. So I'd personally suggest about every two months get a slight trim. And your right, don't straighten your hair, because what happens is that your hair dresser has all this damaged hair he then has to trim, so he trims more. Treat your hair well, be patient, and schedule in semi-regular hair cuts! Good luck.

Trim your hair every 6 weeks. A 1/2 inch. This will control the splits and stop the hair from breaking off up the hair shaft which makes the ends wispy if left too long between cuts. Truely... It worked for me....
