Does cutting your hair actually make it grow?

it really doesn't make sense, cause your hair grows from the roots, not the 'freshly cut' edges!!?

Does cutting your hair actually make it grow?

No, the hair grows from the follicles in your scalp. The hair hanging out is technically dead. That's why it doesn't hurt when it's cut. However, it appears you're hair grows faster when you cut it because the split ends are cut off %26amp; while you're hair grows at different rates in different hairs, when it's neatly trimmed, it looks better %26amp; it seems to look like it's growing faster afterward. But it's just an illusion.

If you cut the dead ends off, yes. Most of the time if you snip it something like the cells bounce back and retaliate for being snipped and grow longer. Something like that.

Does cutting your hair actually make it grow?

Technically, yes. Hair always grows. I've never known it to grow any more so from 'freshly cut' or growing wild for months. Hair is always growing.

Does cutting your hair actually make it grow?

No, cutting it doesn't make it grow, but it does help keep it from splitting, which could, in turn, make it shorter.

Does cutting your hair actually make it grow?

Nope, that's an old wives' tale.

Does cutting your hair actually make it grow?

Not sure....

Does cutting your hair actually make it grow?

If you trim it you are getting rid of the split ends so they don't grow seperately but together. Yes it makes it longer and thicker.

Does cutting your hair actually make it grow?

Trimming your hair (same as cutting but not as much) is good and makes it grow faster1

Does cutting your hair actually make it grow?

Yes If your cutting off dead and split ends it enables them to start growing again which means it can grow longer if they don't re-split.

To prevent splitting use a intensive conditioner or a hot oil treatment once a week. Always condition your hair and when using hair dryers, straighteners or tongs use a heat defence spray.

Does cutting your hair actually make it grow?

No. It just makes it look more healthy.

Does cutting your hair actually make it grow?

Cutting your hair only makes it shorter, does not affect the growth rate one iota, and cannot determine the length that your hair will grow to. Maximum hair length is determined by the shape and width of the hair shaft, and that is determined genetically and is not alterable with current technology.

Lastly, hair is neither healthy or unhealthy. It is in fact, dead. Else, it would really hurt to cut it. It is the health of the hair follicle below the outer skin that requires nutrients for good health, and no adverse hormonal activity.

So, unless you have split ends or chemically damaged hair, the only need to cut the hair is for the look that you want
