How can i grow my hair fast with homemade remedies???!!!?

I just cut my hair and its just at my shoulders. my hair is really think and somewhat frizzy, so it's poofing!

There's a ball coming up in March and I want my hair 6-8 inches longer.

Are there any homemade ways to grow my hair fast, while making it look healthy and shiny? I mean homemade as in stuff I can find around the house. Or really cheap products would work too.

I would be immensly grateful to whoever answers my question like I want, or close to it.

Theses aren't really 'remedies', more like tips you could consider following: :)

Eating lots of green/orange veggies/fruits contain betacarotene+vitamin A which is essential to hair growth.

And since hair is mostly protein, make sure you are getting enough in your diet.

Make sure you get your rest! VERY important. [7-9 hours at least]

don't use tight hairstyles that could damage the hair [braids/tight ponytails]

avoid too much fat/sugar/caffeine/alcohol

reduce stress

Massaging your scalp helps

Drink lots of water!

Don't' brush your hair too much and don't brush it when it is wet!

Avoid heat appliance, like straighteners and curlers.

Avoid taking medication/birth control [unless you really have to]

Let your hair airdry/don't use a blowdryer as much!

This should encourage growth, and get it to a healthy, shiny state.

Just go to the store and buy BIOTIN in pill form its only like 6 dollars...it helps hair grow healthy

I also have thick hair that has a lot o body- some ideas for you..

1. the last girl that cut my hair told me i needed it thinned and it that it would grow longer faster.so i let her thin it (she took some kind of razor comb) and she was right and i put it in long layers and I love it

2.main and tail shampoo for horses is sold in lots of stores like walmart, it will work.

3. Prenatal vitamins, ask any expectant mother-- they work and your nails will grow too

4. Large flat straightners didnt work for my hair but the small skinny ones are awesome. Get one that's ceramic. It's a must have for thick hair.
