i have amazingly thick n nice hair till the age of 16-17. then started having severe wet dandruff which is oily and greasy and gets stuck under my nails.its not going anywhere since 3 years. i am having a lot of hair loss too.now i have decided to shave off my hair. will my hair grow back with the same density that i had,if i take good care?how long will it take for them to grow shoulder length?

Since your hair is thick and nice before, and it started having problem, shave it for some time countinuely and after 3 months let it to grow and always give it a nice treatment and go to saloon always for washing.

My dear, you have psoriasis. I have it too, you just need to go the the dermontologist and get medicine for it.
It will never go away permanantly, but it will subside and its very difficult, but shaving your head will only make it worse.
If you cant afford the dermontologist try using Neutrogena T-Gel shampoo, it smells bad but if you use it every night and rewash you hair in the morning your hair wont stink and the dandruff will slowly go away, :)

If your scalp is that bad, I'd see a dermatologist before you cut it all off. You might just have to change shampoos.

DON'T SHAVE IT OFF!!! There are lots of dandruff shampoos out there, see what your doctor recommends for your dandruff. (Nutrigena T-Gel works great, stinky, but it works.)

If you really want to shave your head...most people's hair grow 1/4 of in inch in a month. If your hair grows fast it could grow 1/2 an inch a month. So it would take it a year or more to be shoulder length. I suggest just cutiing it shorter than it already is and maybe it will be easier to work with.

It sticks up when you get to a certain length and expect to be going to a hairdresser at least once a month so your hair looks ok on your head
Also when the hair grows back the dandruff will be back
Maybe see a dermatologist to look at your scalp and see a reason you are loosing hair and that your scalp is oily
