I have always wanted to have very long hair for as long as i can remember. Now i have finally made up my mind to let my hair grow long.

keep it trimmed every 6-8 weeks,( if you don't keep the ends trimmed they will split and travel up the hair shaft, there is no way to repair split ends, only trim...) and condition it regularly, DON'T USE RUBBER BANDS IN IT, IT WILL BREAK!!! the hardest part is the first few months of trying to wear it manangeably..... a stylist

I agree with the other guy you have to be patient... how long are you letting it grow??? My friend (whose a guy) had his hair about shoulder length with some layers and bangs and he straightened it every day it looked really good (just some ideas for when it's long)

some guys look gay with their hair long but others look okay so i really can't say unless i see what it looks like but if you want it long than grow it long.

do not and i repeat DO NOT go with a mullet...keep it trimmed so it will stay healthy and let nature take its course
